Buyout Terms & Conditions

Thank you for choosing The Luxe Addiction. Our goal is to provide a buyout process that is simple, transparent, and fair for both parties. By submitting an item for buyout, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Preliminary Offers
All buyout quotes are preliminary estimates based solely on the photographs, descriptions, and information provided during the submission process. Preliminary offers are not final purchase agreements and are subject to physical inspection and authentication upon receipt.
2. Inspection & Authentication
All submitted items will undergo a physical inspection and authentication after arrival. Please allow up to 48 hours from the time your package is received for this process to be completed.
The Luxe Addiction reserves the right to revise or withdraw any preliminary offer if an item’s authenticity, condition, completeness, marketability, or overall description differs from what was represented during submission.
3. Seller Disclosure
The Seller agrees to accurately disclose the condition of each item, including but not limited to:
- Wear or damage
- Stains, odors, or discoloration
- Repairs or alterations
- Missing accessories or components
- Any other known defects or issues
Failure to accurately disclose an item’s condition may result in a revised offer, denial of the buyout, or applicable processing fees.
4. Shipping Responsibility
The Seller assumes all responsibility for the item until it has been delivered to The Luxe Addiction.
We strongly recommend shipping all items with tracking and adequate insurance, as The Luxe Addiction is not responsible for packages that are lost, stolen, or damaged while in transit.
5. Payment
Once an item has successfully passed inspection and authentication, payment will be issued via PayPal Friends & Family or Venmo Friends & Family.
Payments are typically issued within 48 hours of the item’s arrival, provided no issues arise during inspection or authentication.
6. Authentication Fee
If an item is determined to be not authentic, or cannot be authenticated due to insufficient, inconclusive, or conflicting evidence, the Seller agrees to pay a non-refundable authentication and processing fee of $100 per item.
7. Withdrawal Fee
If the Seller requests the return of an item after it has been submitted for buyout or authentication, the Seller agrees to pay a flat withdrawal fee of $100 per item.
8. Submission & Processing Fee
A flat processing fee of $70 per item will apply under any of the following circumstances:
- The item’s condition was materially different from what was disclosed during submission.
- The item was shipped after The Luxe Addiction declined the submission.
- The item received does not match the photographs or description originally provided.
- Any other significant discrepancy, omission, or miscommunication that results in additional handling, processing, or return of the item.
9. Notification & Return of Items
If any fee is assessed, The Luxe Addiction will notify the Seller using the contact information provided during submission.
The Seller will have 48 hours from the time of notification to respond, arrange payment, or provide return instructions.
If no response is received within 48 hours:
- The item(s) will be returned to the address provided by the Seller.
- Any applicable fees may be deducted from any current or future payout owed to the Seller.
- If no payout is available, all applicable fees must be paid before the item(s) will be returned.
10. Right to Refuse Service
The Luxe Addiction reserves the right to refuse any submission, decline any buyout offer, or discontinue the buyout process at its sole discretion, with or without providing a reason. Submission of an item does not guarantee acceptance for purchase.
11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
12. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an item for buyout, the Seller certifies that:
- They are the lawful owner of the item(s).
- They have the legal right to sell the item(s).
- The item(s) are not stolen, counterfeit to the best of their knowledge, or subject to any lien, financing agreement, or ownership dispute.
- All information, photographs, and descriptions provided are true and accurate to the best of their knowledge.
The Seller acknowledges that all preliminary offers are contingent upon final inspection and authentication and that The Luxe Addiction reserves the right to revise or withdraw any offer based on the results of its inspection.
By submitting an item for buyout, the Seller confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
